Personal Ergonomic Analysis

An integrated audit of your own desk setup - combining anthropometric fit and posture risk into one Workspace Ergonomic Score.

The Ergonomics domain has these techniques as separate calculators. This project fuses them into a single personal report: is your desk actually sized for you, and is your posture actually safe - with specific, prioritized fixes.

The Problem.

// "my desk came with the room, not with me"

Most home and hostel desks are whatever came with the room - not sized to the person using them. A mismatch of even a few centimeters in desk or chair height compounds into wrist, neck, and shoulder strain over months, invisibly, because nobody ever checks the numbers against a real formula.

This tool runs that check in under two minutes and turns it into a ranked list of what to fix first.

Methodology.

// anthropometric fit + posture risk, combined

Anthropometric Fit

Recommended desk, chair, and monitor heights from percentage-of-stature ratios (same formulas as the Ergonomics domain), compared against your actual measurements.

Posture Risk Screen

A simplified, seated-desk-work posture check (upper arm, wrist, neck, trunk) - the same logic family as RULA/REBA, scoped to desk work specifically.

Combined Score

Fit mismatches and posture risk are both converted to point deductions from 100 - one number that reflects the whole workspace, not just one dimension of it.

Prioritized Fixes

Every deduction is tied to a specific, concrete recommendation - "raise your chair 4cm," not a generic "improve your posture."

What’s in the build.

// shipped features

Single combined score

One Workspace Ergonomic Score out of 100, not four disconnected numbers to interpret yourself.

Specific fix list

Each flagged issue comes with the exact centimeter adjustment or posture change needed.

Assessment history

Re-run the audit after making changes and track your score improving over time.

Sample assessment

A worked example with a mismatched desk setup loads instantly so you can see flagged issues before assessing your own.

Outcome

Two minutes of measuring turns a vague "my back hurts sometimes" into a specific, fixable list - and a score you can re-check after making the fix.
